my top 11 reasons for moving from iWeb to Sandvox

I went through months of agonizing over what to do about the demise of iWeb, and ended up with something that's an improvement on several counts: Sandvox, by Karelia Software, comes closest to iWeb's ease of use, but with several advantages:

A.    It does Search Engine Optimization stuff as second nature, whereas iWeb wasn't SEO-friendly at all. It had been conceived by Apple as a sort of personal website maker before Facebook came out, and so SEO stuff was never built in. I've had MUCH better Google results since moving to Sandvox. The Meta Description is right there at the bottom of each page, waiting to be filled in. Tagging a page with keywords is simple, as is tagging photos with alternate text. Sandvox is set up with a dialog box to easily configure Google Tools and publishing a Google sitemap (the sitemap.xml.gz) is as easy as clicking a checkbox... only once, not every time you publish. These are all things that iWeb could only do with difficulty, using third-party software...

iWeb SEO by Rage is a very easy & useful optimization utility for iWeb.

B.
All the sites I build in iWeb are checked by me on a variety of browsers and platforms.
including but not exclusively IE, Safari, Firefox, Chrome, iOS, Android…
All the browsers have been getting better at conforming to "web standards" as Safari does.
I run all my iWeb sites through W3C Markup Validation and they pass 100%.

There are many sites with loads of info on iWeb… (iWebFAQ.org) for instance…

Blogging can be done very nicely and easily for free with mechanisms from other sites.

F.
Using a widget you can apply a blog to any page.  ( Forms are easy to do also )

G.
I use Transmit…   I wrangle many iWeb sites on one host.

H.
I don't really use side bars… Nor do I repeat schedules or tour dates on every page.

I was never a "mobile me" subscriber. Comments are easily done with services like "intensedebate"...

I'm really hoping that SandVox becomes a real replacement for people who are daily users
of iWeb. But for the time being there's nothing that can be done with SandVox that I can do with iWeb. At this time I feel that really can't be said about SandVox at least as far as ease of use goes. I will most likely buy SandVox someday!

But it bugs me that people are saying that SandVox is a "replacement" for iWeb right now.

well, I don't know.
I am a 'heavy' iWeb user. Heavy in the sense that I am very addicted to the way I can do things, have become accustomed to it, only finding out that that way has been very unique indeed!!
Some features that are 'automatic' in iWeb, that I don't even think about, are NOT in f.e. Sandvox or other editors.
True, Sandvox looks very good, and is coming close(r), but it just isn't on my screen yet. The flexibility of iWeb appears unprecedented.

Any chance Sandfox will be getting some of those feature in?
