I would like to have a calendar on our club site showing upcoming events, I need to have forward and back navigation through the months as well.
Does anyone know where to look? I have searched with Google, but can't find anything suitable. I had a look at Google Calendars, but it's too clunky and doesn't allow more than a few words in each day's box.

Take a look at http://www.instantcal.com/
Lots of calendar widgets (free for low volume use).
It says "Avenger," but I am just a Sandvox user who has been assigned the title of Avenger here in order to be able to delete spam messages. http://davidneale.eu/

Thanks mac!
This is just what I'm looking for. However when it opens on my page the calendar comes up with a message 'error non ical format - may be html' and I can't go any further.
So, where to now? the Instant cal website isn't very helpful here unfortunately.

Audioman, I've never used the calendars, but I can do some tests for you, if you wish. Let me know the calendar you wish to insert and I'll see what I can find.

Thanks again mac for your offer of assistance.
It's the 'Month Classic' that I would like to use.
I have decided to carry on the conversation here rather than PM you, as there probably other Sandvox users who may benefit.

As I mentioned, I am able to get the code, modify the size to suit the page, paste the code and it appears correctly on the page
but with the message 'error non ical format - may be html', then I can't go any further.

I think that the error probably lies in the format of the calendar file that you are linking to. This should normally be in ICS format and you can most easily create this from iCal by using the File>Export… menu command. Upload the resulting file (which will have the extension .ics) to your server and make sure that the link in your calendar HTML is to the correct address. The easiest way to do this is to enter the address in the Calendar URL field of the Build My Calendar page of InstantCal.

Finally found a free calendar that works well!
Here it is on our site http://www.shotover4wdclub.co.nz/club-calendar.html
And here is where it comes from http://www.keepandshare.com/htm/calenda … lendar.php
At this stage seems fine, I'll update if there's any dramas!

Hi, I have a rental property and need a availability calendar that shows visitors when my apartment is booked/available. I need to make notes regarding the bookings that only I can see. Trying to embed a google calendar but when I enter the HTML all I get in sandvox is a grey box with the text "plug-in not visible". I no nothing about coding and don't understand the problem. Would someone be able to help me?
