Sandvox 2.5.2 now available

Sandvox 2.5.2 is now officially released and is available immediately for download for customers running 2.x on OS X Lion or Snow Leopard.

You can grab it using Check for Updates or download a fresh copy directly from sandvox.com. For Mac App Store customers, please check the Updates tab in the App Store app.

Here are the complete release notes:

Document Handling

• Adds a preference to disable Versions support since it copes poorly with very large documents

• Corrects an issue where media could be lost while duplicating a document

• Resolves a crash while saving

Objects

• Improves recognition of dragged or pasted links

• Drags from the Media Browser onto a Media Placeholder include a caption if appropriate

• Addresses an issue inserting new objects into a sidebar-less page

• Map placeholders match the dimensions of the real map

• Fixes the Italian and Chinese localizations of the Slide Show object

Publishing

• Fixes a bug which stopped archives from being published

• Fixes a crash while setting up SFTP publishing

• Improves handling of authentication failures when publishing to an FTP server

• Better handling of corrupt image media

Other Changes and Bug Fixes

• Fixes a crash with page-handling

• Java applets are disabled within Sandvox due to instability in the Java runtime at present
