i have chose a certain template I want to build a website with. How am I able to change the size of the text box?

Click on the text box and make it Inline, using the Wrap Inspector (Text Boxes seem to be Callout by default, which I find a pain). Now you can resize the box.
It says "Avenger," but I am just a Sandvox user who has been assigned the title of Avenger here in order to be able to delete spam messages. http://davidneale.eu/

I have no clue what that means or how to do it, i thought this was an easy program, i guess not especially for just wanting to resize a text box

You have to click on the text box to make it "active" (to select it). Onlyif it is active will its properties be visible in the Inspector. The Inspector is the small window that shows the various properties of whichever item is currently active. You see the Inspector by either using the menu View>Show Inspector (if the Inspector is already visible this will read Hide inspector). The Inspector can also be toggled on and off by clicking the blue-circled "i" icon marked Inspector in the tool bar. The Inspector can display numerous pages of infprmation, one of which is the Wrap Inspector; this is displayed by clciking on the third icon (looks like a small blue rectangle surrounded by horizontal black lines)in at the top of the Inspector window.

I am using the template thru sandvox call sergenti and at the top of it there are 2 text boxes, i need to make them bigger, is this even possible, i don't see why it cant be gone, if you make the text bigger you then can't read it because the box needs to be enlarged

A screen shot would help, as I think you are not referring to Text Box objects, but to some other type of text areas. Sergenti starts with a banner heading, over which are placed a Tagline (initially containing the text, "A website thoughtfully crafted with Sandvox," and a Site Title, initially containing, probably, your name.
These elements are placed by the design. They can be edited to some extent using the text editing commands under the Format menu and shown or not through the Document Appearance Inspector.
In the body of the initial page presented by Sergenti are a text area (not a Text Box) and a Sidebar. Again, these elements are placed by the design. You can remove the Sidebar In the Page Appearance Inspector. The Sidebar can't be resized manually (I think I am correct in this, but rarely use Sidebars), but you can add objects to it, which will cause it to reize automatically. The text area initially contains a page title (Home Page) which can be editied using the text editing commands under Format and shown or not through the Page Title checkbox in the Page Appearance Inspector. You can click below this to add other objects (including a Text Box), and also to simply type in text, but that text will follow the constraints of the design (font, size, etc). If you place a Text Box object, that object can be selected and resized as previously described.
Using designs in Sandvox makes things easier, but also imposes limitations and constraints. The design includes colour, lettertype, spacing, etc. specifications in its CSS. You are relieved of having to think of this and to have to code it. This has its benefits (fast and simple site building), but can also have its downside (the restrictions).
