Missing post - deleted?

A week or so ago, there was a thread titled "Navigating a site".

I received notice of a "new" post in that thread, but now the entire thread is gone.

The "new" post was clearly SPAM, so I presume the entire thread was inadvertently deleted, rather than just the SPAM post.

Can it be recovered?

Well that's bizarre. The day I received notice, it was not there.

Did the notice you received point to the spam post itself? If so, and if that post was deleted already when you followed the link, you will have received a "not found" type of error.

Ya, I'm well aware of that, and it had already been deleted.

But I also still had the notice from the last reply made by eamann, and that link also came up "not found". A search for "Navigating" came up empty. A search for posts I had made (since I had posted there) came up empty. Browsing the index didn't show it anymore.

Whatever, it's there now, my mistake. :-)

All I did to find it was a search for "Navigating a site" (I did not include the quotes). Strange, but at least you have it back now.

Today it's all there. 4-5 days ago when I first received the notice, it wasn't. Twilight Zone ;-)
