URL 27 character limit

Hi there,

Sandvox says that the limit for a url is 27 characters.
However I have entered a URL of 42 characters and it just works.

Why does it say 27 is the limit?

What is your URL that exceeds this limit?

Eigenaardig.

I've tried using long page titles and they get truncated to 27 characters when they are converted to their part of the URL: no warning is given, it just happens. This has occurred in all of the designs I've tested, including Cathedral, No Parking Anytime and Sunburst, as well as in Telegraph Office (which I think is what you are using).
