Just a brief note to let everyone know that I've updated this forum to the latest release version of the forum software. This latest version has some additional anti-spam measures in it which I'm sure we'll all be happy about. You may notice an extra convenience feature or two pop-in.

One major change is that we're going to try to make better use of ranks. In the past, basically everyone was a Member. Going forward, most everyone will continue to be a Member and that's perfectly fine: the forum will operate for you much as it always has, hopefully with some new bells and whistles.

New registrations starting today, however, will start off as New Members. New Members will not be allowed to post links, either in the body of the message or the signature. This will hopefully cut down quite a bit on link spam. After you've been with us for a bit and posted a few times, New Members will automatically be promoted to Members.

We also wanted to recognize those that have been with us for some time and have contributed quite a bit to the development of this forum. When you reach these levels, you'll automatically be promoted to Hero and then Super Hero.

Finally, if you're standing tall and take on the job of smiting spammers where you find them, we'll give you the coveted rank of Avenger.
