Attempting to import pdfs...continually crashing. These are Keynote presentations that have been converted to pdf. One imported fine. After that, crashed time after time when I attempted to import. I tried dragging and dripping the file, and I also tried "New...chose"—neither worked. Trashed Sandvox and related files (prefs, caches, etc.) and reinstalled. No help. I am using the latest version of Sandvox (2.6.1) on an Intel iMac with OSX.7.4. Karelia support does not seem to know what to do about the problem. Is there anyone in the forum that has had similar issues and discovered a fix?

Is there any funkiness embedded in the presentations that might be causing a problem? Video, animation, stuff like that?
Has Karelia support been able to duplicate the issue with your files?

Pretty simply slides. No animations. Usually use the blackboard template. No pictures. Gill Sans text usually.
Thanks for taking a look.

If you want to send a couple of the offending pdfs to me (via dropbox), let me know. I can see if they hork my Sandvox at home (2.6.3 on OS 10.6.8)

Jim,
I tried to post a link to a file on dropbox but the forum would not let me. If you will send me an email address, I will send you a sample file. Or, if there is another way to doit, let me know.
I even tried removing all "effects" on slide traditions and text boxes. Re-saved, exported to PDF, but still crashes when I try to import into Sandvox.

Can the PDFs that cause Sandvox crash be opened successfully in Preview?
It says "Avenger," but I am just a Sandvox user who has been assigned the title of Avenger here in order to be able to delete spam messages. http://davidneale.eu/

Yes. In fact, after receiving your email, I opened the file in preview and then saved it again. Then I tried dragging it into Sandvox and it crashed.

I've tried a Keynote PDF here and it seems to be fine in Sandvox. Do you have a Case # that I could follow up?

Heather,
I know I may be missing the obvious, but I do not see in the menu or preferences a "Check for updates" option. Where is it? Thanks.
Offline
Heather,
I used the link you sent me earlier in the day to download the latest version. Thanks!

Great! If you are missing the 'Check for Updates' you are running the App Store version of Sandvox.
There was an announcement about that release here,
