Publishing Problems

Several problems publishing this week since the Mountain Lion arrived on the scene…coincidence??? First thing, all my settings disappeared out of Setup Host. Then I intermittently got errors when trying to publish and would have to close out of Sandvox and reopen before being able to publish. And even when I hit "publish Changes" it seems to be uploading everything and taking forever.
It is continuing. Have to close out of SV in order to publish more than once.

Re: Publishing Problems

Please file a case with Karelia Support (or, from within the application using Sandvox > Send Feedback) so that we can track this and make sure everything is OK. We've been working with Mountain Lion for awhile, but it's always possible right after a new OS release that something pops up that causes problems.

Re: Publishing Problems

I've also had problems publishing since the upgrade to ML. cUrl doesn't work well but Connectionkit does. Maybe while they try to figure it out (thanks Mike Abdullah for the prompt response to my case) you should try Connectionkit. As strange as it may seem I get a problem publishing to my server at MyHosting yet with my school's server everything works just fine using cURL. Go figure.

Re: Publishing Problems

Ditto "Hero" above. Problems (yellow alert icon appears OR unable to connect) using cUrl but Connectionkit seems fine. This started right after installing Mountain Lion this week.

Re: Publishing Problems

Hello everybody,

It looks like Mountain Lion brought with it a newer version of cURL (I suspect Apple will be bringing that back to Lion soon as part of a security update). This new version seems to be reporting that an upload has finished just a little bit too early. Upon receiving that, Sandvox attempts the next upload which fails because the server's not quite ready yet. I'm looking for a good solution now.

Re: Publishing Problems

Thanks Mike!

FYI ConnectionKit works reliably; have upload two complete sites with it on Mountain Lion.

Re: Publishing Problems

Hello,

We've put out a beta of Sandvox 2.6.5, which should fix the problem. It looks like the combination of cURL and 10.8 was exposing a more general bug and making it more likely to occur.
