Technical explanation: How it works

Find Classical and Traditional Melodies Quickly

Indexes over 14,300 Melodies

Tunefinder X is a Melody Index. It will show you the name of the composer and composition for any of over 13,000 melodies from classical and popular music when all you know is the melody itself.

Just click-play the melody's first ten notes on an on-screen piano keyboard diagram. You will hear each note as you play it.

The database includes themes and melodies from scores of composers, including Arlen, Bach, Beethoven, Berlioz, Bizet, Brahms, Bruckner, Chopin, Corelli, Debussy, Donizetti, Dvorak, Elgar, Gershwin, Gluck, Grieg, Handel, Haydn, Joplin, Liszt, Mahler, Mendelssohn, Meyerbeer, Milhaud, Mozart, Offenbach, Prokofiev, Puccini, Rachmaninoff, Ravel, Rodgers, Rossini, Saint-Saens, Scarlatti, Schubert, Schumann, Sibelius, Smetana, Sousa, Strauss, Strauss, Sullivan, Tchaikovsky, Verdi, Vivaldi, Wagner, and Weber.

TuneFinder X is Freeware.
