The Hit List 2.5 — Now For iPad

You asked for it, and now here it is! After many months of hard work, were very proud and excited to announce The Hit List for iPad. Get it now for a special introductory price of just [[INSERT PRICE AND LINK HERE]]. (Already purchased The Hit List for iPhone v2? Great news, you get iPad support for free just by updating the app!)

Our goal with the iPad app was to blend the simplicity of iOS with the extra power of The Hit List for Mac, and we think youll love the result.

Hold your iPad in portrait orientation and enjoy the refreshing focus of just your list and no distractions. The extra screen space available on iPad (compared to iPhone) allows convenient access to start and due dates down the right-hand side of the list. Tap to bring up the date picker with its smooth-scrolling calendar, and handy shortcuts for Today, Tomorrow, and Next Week.

Turn your iPad to landscape and the left of the screen opens up to reveal your lists, folders, and tags, making quick navigation between them an absolute breeze.

Tap on a task to open the details card you know and love from iPhone and Mac, and expose full editing controls. Add tags and notes to your task, tweak the priority, or start and due dates. Set up rules for repeating tasks, and break up complex jobs into bite-sized subtasks.

As an iPad user you might also find a extra little feature comes in handy: it’s now super-easy to share lists by email, to send a copy to a friend for example.

Multitasking

With iOS 9, Apple introduced multitasking features for iPad, and these allow The Hit List to really shine through as a companion in your day to day usage.

For example, say youre browsing the web, and into your head pops something that should be on your shopping list. Use Slide Over by swiping leftwards, from the right-hand edge of your screen to gain quick access to The Hit List. Add the item to your list and youre done. Its a breeze.

With Split View, you can run another app side-by-side with The Hit List. Perhaps you’re doing some research in Safari for an upcoming trip; use Split View to run The Hit List alongside and make notes of the places you’re planning to see. Open The Hit List using Slide Over, then tap or drag the app divider to start using both apps in Split View mode.

You can use Slide Over with iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, and iPad mini 2 or later. Split View requires iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 or iPad mini 4.

iPhone 6s

Are you the proud owner of an iPhone 6s? The Hit List now includes Quick Actions with 3D Touch. Press the Hit List icon on the Home screen, and you can immediately create a new task, or go straight to your Today list.

Other Improvements

A popular request from many customers has been an easy way to know when viewing a list whether there are notes attached to a particular task. We listened to you and added exactly that, with a handy little badge to indicate their presence.

Finally, weve given tags a bit of an overhaul on iOS, with a cleaner, streamlined appearance, similar to that used previously in The Hit Lists Today Extension.

The Hit List for iPhone & iPad is available immediately from the App Store, and is a Universal app, running on your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Available for a special introductory price of just [[INSERT PRICE HERE]].
